Ultrium WORM Data Cartridge offers an 800GB capacity and 160MB per second transfer rate. Backup takes just 12.5 seconds to save 1GB of data to a HP Ultrium 3 cartridge, compared to 33 seconds for Ultrium 2 and more than a 1 minute for Ultrium 1. Write-Once, Read-Many (WORM) capability helps you to integrate a cost-effective solution easily to secure, manage, and archive compliant data records to meet stringent industry regulations. Smoother base film and smaller magnetic particles increase the bit density, allowing more data to be recorded in the same amount of tape increasing the number of recording tracks to 704 tracks. Smoother, thinner base film enables a longer tape to be packed into the same size cartridge shell, contributing to the increased capacity. Ultrium 800GB WORM cartridge offers a 30-year archival life and 260 full backups.
